
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON — Valerie Barr, Bard College’s Margaret Hamilton Distinguished Professor of Pc Science, has been elected as a 2022 Fellow of the American Association for the Development of Science (AAAS). Barr, who teaches in the Laptop or computer Science Plan, is “being honored for distinguished contributions to computer system science education, and to raising the diversity in the computing fields,” writes the AAAS.
“I am honored that the laptop science part of AAAS is recognizing range operate in computing,” explained Barr. “I search forward to continuing this get the job done broadly in the context of the NSF-funded Alliance for Identification-Inclusive Computing Education, led by Drs.
